Designed for pet owners, the DC39 Animal canister vacuum is engineered with cyclones that capture more dirt than any other. Featuring Dyson’s Radial Root Cyclone™ technology, reconfigured air channels reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure within inner cyclones to extract more dirt, allergens and pet hair.
Suitable for all floor types, the DC39’s Triggerhead tool is the only turbine head controlled at the handle, so there is no bending down to adjust. A fingertip control switches the brush bar off for delicate rugs and hard floors and switches on for high pick-up on carpets. It also features a detachable handle, which allows you to fit tools directly to the end of the hose, for cleaning in confined places. The included mini turbine head tool removes pet hair and dirt from tight spaces such as upholstery, stairs and the car. The DC39 is also the only canister vacuum with a central steering mechanism. Combined with Dyson Ball™ technology, the DC39 turns on a dime to give you greater control. Ball profile creates low friction, so the machine flows around obstacles and the smooth edges of the ball don’t dig into the carpet pile. The clear bin, made from tough polycarbonate allows you to see when it’s full and empties at the push of a button, minimizing contact with dirt and allergens.
DC39 Animal has a non-removable HEPA filter and no extra costs from bags, belts or filters. The machine carries a 5 year warranty, parts and labor guaranteed by Dyson. And as with all Dyson vacuum cleaners, DC39 Animal has no loss of suction.
Radial Root Cyclone™ technology
Conventional vacuums rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. But when you start to use some bagged machines, dust can clog the tiny holes in the bag. Some ordinary bagless vacuums work in a similar way. They use a central filter to trap fine dust, which can clog too. Suction drops, leaving dust and dirt behind in your home.
Dyson's patented cyclone technology captures more dirt than any other cyclone. In Radial Root Cyclone™ technology remodeled airflows maximize suction power. Improved flow efficiency reduces turbulence and preserves air pressure, so more microscopic particles are extracted by the inner cyclones. These refinements help remove more dust, allergens and pet hair from the home.
Tangle-free Turbine tool
The Dyson Tangle-free Turbine tool is the only turbine tool that doesn’t tangle. There’s no brush bar for hair to wrap around. It uses counter-rotating heads with brushes to remove hair and dirt from carpets and upholstery and releases it straight into the bin. The flexible heads and articulating base plate ensure that the brushes maintain constant contact with a surface – no matter how uneven. The heads are positioned so the brushes reach to the front and side of the tool, drawing in hair and dirt from all directions.
Ball™ technology for canister vacuums
Conventional upright vacuums use fixed wheels. But wheeled vacuums can be awkward to steer and can make you work a lot harder than you need to. All that back and forth around corners and obstacles. Ball™ technology is a radical alternative to fixed wheels. Dyson Ball™ vacuums ride on a ball, which pivots on itself so you can instantly change direction with just a turn of the wrist.
Triggerhead tool
The Triggerhead tool is the only turbine head controlled at the handle. No need to bend down and adjust when moving between floor types. A rotating brush bar deep cleans carpets – push the trigger and it switches off to protect delicate rugs and hard floors.
Captures allergens. Expels cleaner air.
Ordinary vacuums can’t always retain all the dust they remove – so some of them vent some of it back into your room in the air they expel. That’s the reason for the dusty, electrical smell. Dyson cyclones can capture microscopic particles such as pollen, mold and bacteria.
Hygienic and quick to empty
Emptying the bin on a Dyson vacuum is quick and hygienic. Just press the button to release the dirt. The bin is clear, so you can see when it needs emptying – and how much dust, dirt and pet hair the machine has captured. Dyson vacuums were the first to have clear bins – despite market researchers insisting it was a bad idea. Now clear bins are everywhere (though not all are made from the same ABS polycarbonate as riot shields, like Dyson bins).
Engineered for reduced noise levels
Essential components are located inside the acoustically treated ball. The motor is attached to the housing with sound-dampening mounts. Less noise escapes from the airways, and polyurethane sound-insulating materials absorb sound energy.
Dyson DC39 Animal full-size Dyson Ball cylinder vacuum cleaner for pet owners
Technical details:
- Patented Radial Root Cyclone technology for no loss of suction.
- Triggerhead tool – the only turbine head controlled at the handle.
- Ball technology turns on the spot. Central steering mechanism for greater control.
- Engineered for reduced noise levels.
DC39 Animal is a full-size Dyson cylinder vacuum with Ball technology for greater manoeuvrability. Wheeled vacuums can be awkward – heavy to pull, head the wrong way and collide with obstacles. A Dyson Ball vacuum cleans without the awkward moves, turning on the spot. DC39 Animal also has a central steering mechanism for greater control. The pivot point is located near the centre of the machine, so it can make tighter turning circles and more easily follow the user’s path.
DC39 Animal has a Triggerhead tool, with an air-driven rotating brush bar. It’s the only turbine head controlled at the handle – so no bending down is required. And DC39 Animal also comes with a Mini turbine head for cleaning pet hair and dirt from confined places, upholstery, stairs and the car.
Dyson cyclones capture more dirt than any other. DC39 Animal has Radial Root Cyclone technology with remodelled airways to maximise suction power. Like all other Dyson vacuums, DC39 Animal doesn’t lose suction as you clean. There are no bags to replace, so there are no extra costs.
DC39 Animal has been engineered for reduced noise levels with no compromise in performance. The essential components are located inside the acoustically treated ball.
Patented Dyson technology
Dyson engineers are constantly testing and inventing, trying to find new ways to make their technology work better. As they work, they file patent applications to protect their inventions from copycat manufacturers. That’s why the only place you’ll find Dyson technology is inside a Dyson machine.
DC39 Animal uses the following patented Dyson technology:
New Radial Root Cyclone technology
Ordinary vacuum cleaners rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. As you use them, the tiny holes in the bag clog up with particles of dust. This restricts the flow of air, so the vacuum cleaner loses suction.
Dyson vacuum cleaners don’t rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. They use cyclone technology, which spins the air at incredibly high speeds. The cyclones inside a Dyson vacuum cleaner generate centrifugal forces many thousands of times the force of gravity. Dust, dirt and pet hair are flung out of the airflow and straight into the bin. No bag. No loss of suction.
Dyson has been continually refining cyclone vacuum technology since inventing it more than 20 years ago. DC39 Animal has new Radial Root Cyclone technology. Reconfigured air channels and improved flow efficiency reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure, so that the inner cyclones can extract more microscopic particles. These refinements help remove more dirt, dust, allergens and pet hair from the airflow.
DC39 Animal includes:
Ball technology
Dyson Ball vacuum cleaners use Ball technology to overcome the steering limitations of fixed wheels. They ride on a ball, which turns on the spot so you can steer with ease, changing direction with just a turn of the wrist. The ball also holds the heaviest component (the motor) – positioned towards the base for a lower centre of gravity and greater stability. The machine moves easily around obstacles, and the ball’s smooth surface means that it doesn’t dig into the carpet pile.
Triggerhead tool
The only turbine head controlled at the handle so no bending down is required. A fingertip control switches the brush bar off for delicate rugs and hard floors, and switches it on for high pick-up on carpets.
Reduced noise levels – ball engineering
No compromise in performance. Essential components are located inside the acoustically treated ball.
Extra tools
DC39 Animal comes with a Mini turbine head for cleaning pet hair and dirt from confined spaces, upholstery, stairs and the car. For hard floors, it has an Articulating hard floor tool that manoeuvres easily and cleans narrow gaps. And there’s also a Stair tool, and a Combination tool with a debris nozzle that converts to a brush tool for dusting.
Clear bin lets you see when it needs emptying
The bin on a Dyson vacuum cleaner is transparent so you can see when it needs emptying – and just how much dust, dirt and pet hair your new Dyson machine has picked up.
Captures allergens, expels cleaner air
Dyson cyclones capture microscopic particles down to 0.5 microns in size. DC39 Animal also includes a HEPA filter as an extra safeguard for allergy sufferers. It traps microscopic particles down to 1/5,000 of a pinhead, including pollen, mould and bacteria.
No extra costs
Other vacuum cleaners are still designed to need replacement bags and filters – and the cost soon adds up. Over 5 years, you could end up having to spend up to £175. Dyson vacuum cleaners don’t need bags, so there are no extra costs to worry about. Your Dyson vacuum cleaner is likely to take a few knocks and bashes during everyday use – but that’s nothing compared to what Dyson puts its machines through during testing and development. All Dyson vacuum cleaners undergo a lengthy and rigorous testing programme. That’s why DC39 Animal comes with a free 5 year guarantee – parts and labour.
